Corporate Communications Supervisor

A Corporate Communications Supervisor assists the Corporate Communications Manager in leading and developing the company's internal and external communications activity. The Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the corporate communications team and ensuring that all communication initiatives align with the company's overall strategy.

 

Responsibilities

Internal Communication

Custodianship of Corporate Identity

  • Assists the planning and strategizing corporate branding strategy and initiatives.
  • Oversees and supports the continuous development of official corporate branding collaterals, official templates, and advertising materials.
  • Oversees the development and regulation of official corporate brand identity guidelines and related policies. 
  • Assists in the management and updates of corporate branding platforms which includes the corporate website and social media accounts, printed materials, multimedia, and corporate events (internal and external)
  • Leads the execution of corporate-wide archiving initiative of critical information, documents, files and memorabilia

 Management of Internal Information dissemination

  • Oversees the development and regulation of Internal Information dissemination protocol and procedures.
  • Provides guidance and leadership in managing platforms for distributing Internal Information such as The Primer Post, One Primer Portal, One Primer TV, and Corporate Advisory.
  • Aids in the creation and implementation of programs to turn employees into partners in distributing information – Brand Love (digital initiative)

Collaborate with HR in the promotion of corporate values and key initiatives

  • Facilitates the inculcation of a positive corporate culture by promoting corporate values and facilitating inspirational and developmental activities such as the One Primer Campaign, ISTEP, and Educational Talks.
  • Assists in the promotion of corporate activities, events, and policy dissemination through both traditional and non-traditional platforms in coordination with HR.

Manage the communication of Change Management and other Corporate Transformation Initiatives

  • Assisting other departments in Policy and New Procedure Cascading using diverse channels and approaches such as dissemination in corporate communication platforms, organizing town hall meetings, or conducting individual cascading.

External Communication

Supervision of Corporate Public Relations Function

  • Supervises and assists in managing the corporate public relations function.
  • Acts as a backup corporate spokesperson as needed.
  • Development of content plan for digital media and other related platforms.
  • Assists in the development of public relations plans and strategies.
  • Supports the development of content plans for digital media and other related platforms.
  • Assists in the planning, preparation, and management of crisis PR.
  • Supervises the management of public relations, community management, and placement agencies, and other related providers.
  • Supports the external branding and corporate-wide campaigns such as employer branding, promotion of corporate advocacy programs, and local and international business promotion

Supervision of Corporate Information dissemination and representation

  • Development of policy relating to the dissemination of critical corporate information and official corporate representation to the public.
  • Assists in the organization and facilitation of media training for executives and stakeholders
  • Coordinating the speech writing process and scheduling official public appearances, media interviews, and speaking engagements for the Board of Directors.

Relationship building with key external stakeholders (Government Agencies, NGOs, etc.)

  • Facilitation and management of corporate sponsorships and placements.
  • Coordination and liaison on courtesy calls, corporate guest hosting and other VIP related activities.
  • Management and preparation of corporate gifts distributed to key stakeholders and partners.

Tri-media monitoring and Social media listening

  • Management of third-party tri-media monitoring and social listening subscription and tools.
  • Critical issue monitoring and providing regular updates to the manager
  • Creates official response and assists in planning actions on critical issues being monitored.

Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability & Social Impact

  • Implement PGC Sustainability and Philanthropy programs and initiatives (CORE)
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholder to champion a culture of Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability & Social Impact within the group
  • Collaborate with Corp Comm and utilize PGC internal and external communications platform for effective dissemination and awareness of Corporate Social Responsibility,  Sustainability & Social Impact initiatives and programs.
  • Provides information and guidance to the community about sustainable practices, resources available and upcoming projects.
  • Investigates and keeps across best practice sustainability, prepares documentation for grants and develop sustainability programs
  • Represents the organization to forum, conferences, meetings and other important events

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Communications, Development Communication or Organization Development or any related course
  • Preferably with five (5) years or more experience in Corporate Selling, Bachelors in Environmental science, public administration or social services is preferred. Two (2) years of which were spent in a leadership function
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality Corporate Communications in a comparable organization, contributing to an excellent reputation for that organization as a leader in its sector.
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience in a corporate and business setting
  • NGO experience is preferred.
