As a footwear brand with a serious mission to empower women from all walks of life, FitFlop has taken steps to join the fight against breast cancer with the help of its partner, ICanServe Foundation. A breast cancer advocacy group in the Philippines, ICanServe Foundation stresses the importance of early detection and proper awareness about the disease. Together, FitFlop and ICanServe were able to roll out initiatives last October that provided women with the necessary know-how and tools to fight breast cancer.

Aside from launching the Petal Ruffle collection, a special BCAM exclusive with part of proceeds donated to ICanServe, FitFlop hosted the Step Out In Pink event last October 24, 2019 at the FitFlop store, SM Mall of Asia. Registration and socials began at 2 PM, while the event officially started at 2:30 PM with opening remarks from host Alex Sy and FitFlop brand manager Sol Aquino. This was followed by an informative talk by Dr. Cecille Montales of ICanServe, and testimonials by breast cancer survivors Maritoni Fernandez and ICanServe President Nikoy De Guzman. The event was attended by select media and influencers, as well as ICanServe volunteers. Overall, the event was a success thanks to all the attendees and speakers who took the time to share their experiences. We hope that this event helped raise awareness of breast cancer and served as a beacon of hope and inspiration to those who may be struggling with the disease.
