Highly anticipated cycling event OCBC Cycle 2019, supported by Hydro Flask and Timbuk2 in Singapore, kicked off with over 6,800 cyclists from all over Southeast Asia who rode along the Nicoll Highway and scenic areas of Singapore on May 10 to 12, 2019.
The massive May 12 event also witnessed participation in 23km and 42km race categories from countries such as Thailand, Philippines, Viet Nam, and Malaysia.
Philippines emerged triumphant in the OCBC Cycle Speedway Southeast Asia Championship, clocking 19min 19.550sec to edge out Malaysia (19:19:580). Vietnam came in third (19:20.483).
As “Friends of OCBC Cycle”, Hydro Flask and Timbuk2 provided participants with more fun during the event. More than selling merchandise in their respective booths, Hydro Flask enabled customers to customize their bottle caps for their every purchase; while Timbuk2 gave away bags as prizes for the competition. Hydro Flask bottles also served as trophies, as the event took on a new initiative this year to go green by reducing the use of plastic and unwanted materials.
