A sneak peek on a trip to shoot a video for an up close and personal look at being a Roxy girl
Like all things Quiksilver, Roxy was born in the water; initially a swimwear line, it debuted in late summer 1990 to immediate success. It is a lifestyle brand, offering products for every aspect of the active girl's life. The key ingredient of our products is the inimitable Roxy spirit: Daring, confident, naturally beautiful, fun and alive.
Evidently, it is Roxy’s philosophy to inspire women to pursue their passions and dare to live their dreams no matter how big or impossible they may seem. As one of its constant efforts to push forth this advocacy, Roxy called out to the community as it launches an exclusive video that aimed to show how it is to be a Roxy girl.
In partnership with Ford Philippines, Costa Pacifica Baler, AeroEye Asia, Bambike, and GoPro Philippines, The Roxy Girls drove the class-leading New Ford Fiesta in the trip up to Baler last October 12-14 where they also experienced its smart features such as Keyless Entry/Push Start Button and the hands-free voice-activated technology, SYNC. Upon arrival, they were welcomed by Costa Pacifica’s hospitable group who were generous enough to accommodate everyone during their stay. “Costa Pacifica is the newest luxury surfing destination in the country! I like that it's modern yet still has that fun and laid-back feel to it, just how a surf resort should be” says Roxy Ambassador Noelle Hilario.
Then it wasn’t long before Roxy launched the first of five episodes of the Roxy Does Baler video last November 21, 2013 at Sunrise Buckets Restaurant. Bloggers, Roxy partners, and surfers headed out to get a first-hand look at the adventurous lives of local Roxy brand ambassadors like Tamara Benitez, Bea Vega, Lorraine Lapus, Nicola Sebastian, Noelle Hilario, Mica Santos, Nilbie Blancada, Paula Rosales, Abby Ramos, and Kage Gozun.
The host kicked off the program by introducing a representative from Roxy Philippines who talked about the brand and how they came up with the launch. Afterwards, a representative of Costa Pacifica Baler also shared some stories about Roxy and how it has helped the industry promote the surfing culture and lifestyle.
Finally, the Roxy girls took the stage to address the guests and share bits and pieces about their fun and exciting experience while shooting the video. And without further adieu, the Roxy video was presented for everyone to enjoy. Aiming to promote adventure among women, the Roxy video, including the four more that will be promoted online in the coming weeks, will be screened in Roxy and Quiksilver stores, Ford Dealerships, and inside Costa Pacifica Baler establishment.
