Fitflop celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month through a Passion Pink Walk

The Breast Cancer Awareness Month, marked in countries across the world every October, helps to increase attention and support for the awareness, early detection and treatment as well as palliative care of this disease. Fitflop Indonesia goes the extra mile to celebrate the 2019 Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Last October 6, in collaboration with Yayasan Daya Dara Indonesia or better known as Lovepink, a community of women with breast cancer, they hosted one of the biggest fun walk activities in Indonesia, the “Passion Pink Walk”.

Since May 2019, the non-profit foundation has been focusing on early breast cancer detection campaigns, breast ultrasound examination, socialization and patient assistance. This initiative is part of "Indonesia Goes Pink" event series which aims to support every super woman in the community. This is also an opportunity for Fitflop Indonesia to get to know and understand these women more as well as let them know that the brand does really stand together with them.

The “Passion Pink Walk” was held at the Plaza Lobby at Plaza Indonesia which became the center point for both the start and finish of the walk and assembly point to do the stretching before the walk. A yoga area was set up mainly for the survivors who cannot join the 3K length fun walk. There were also several booths by brands which have different activities. Big partners such as Fitflop – the official footwear of this event, Passion Jewelry, Starbucks, Estée Lauder Companies, Plaza Indonesia, Sunpride, ASTRA, and many more, contributed to make the event a fun and festive one. Almost 2,000 people, who are mostly family and friends of Lovepink Indonesia, participated in the walk. Local key influencer couples namely Ardina Rasti & Arie Andika, and Shinta Rosari & Marsya Manopo, also supported the event.

Fitflop hosted two exciting games at their booth located just across the main stage to keep the crowd alive. Everyone who came to visit their booth and play the iQushion Dart or iQushion games stack were eligible to win a pair of iQushion or several Fitflop gift vouchers. All those who participated were able to feel the products, experience it themselves and recognize the durability of Fitflop iQushion. The booth also features a photo session to make it more interactive. At the end of the event, at least 14 people successfully made it and won the iQushion and around hundreds of people won the vouchers.

To officially close the event, Managing Director of Primer Group Indonesia Frankie Jonathan, owned the honor to directly give the special door prize at the main stage of the Passion Pink Walk. "We are all beyond glad to not only share the fun with everyone but also to gain pleasure by doing different activities on this event for a good cause."
