Most known for being the first Asian to win the Miss Belgium title, we met with Angeline to learn more about her story: how proud she is of her heritage and her humble beginnings growing up with hardworking Filipino parents; how she adapted that virtue to help herself get her pilot degree, nabbing the Miss Belgium 2018 title in the process; how she uses her platform to represent OFWs, and to be an advocate for Education, the Environment, and Equality; and who her most authentic self is beyond all these.
Despite setbacks, she powered through, and that’s what makes her one among our Women of Substance: women who embrace their individuality, and use their experiences, stories, and voice for a purpose bigger than her own. Women of Substance are today’s sheroes who hold multiple facets, but speak in the confidence of one voice — one that’s entirely her own.
