Consumerism in the Philippines: A Talk by PIML Managing Director Mark Chim at the ESG Philippines iAdvisory Seminar

Primer International Management Limited (PIML) Managing Director and Senior Vice President Mark Chim represented the Primer Group of Companies in Enterprise Singapore’s (ESG) iAdvisory Seminar on the Philippine Consumer Economy where he shared his insights on the country’s current consumer landscape.

In his talk in ESG’s office last April 16, 2019, Chim shared Primer Group’s experience in growing brands, particularly FitFlop, Bratpack, and Hydro Flask, within the Philippine market.

To thrust into and thrive within the Philippines, Primer Group boasts of its edge in its robust business support and infrastructure, dedication to e-commerce, extensive product distribution channels, and multifaceted marketing capacity, according to Chim.

Chim also adds in his presentation a profile of consumerism in the Philippines in terms of its economy and its people. He also gave a brief profile of the Filipino retail consumers.

Following his talk, Chim sat alongside fellow Philippine market experts including SaladStop! Managing Director Adrien Desbaillets, Play Nation Pte Ltd Co-Founder & Director Wong Kai Jun, and In. Corp Group Philippines, Kittelson and Carpo Consulting Country Head Amanda Rufino Carpo for a panel discussion moderated by Orissa International Managing Director Sarath Menon on how to capture the Philippines Consumer Market.

Chim’s engagement in the seminar was met with much enthusiasm as over 20 people approached him regarding his talk. He says, “They really fell in love with the Philippines.”
