Our trophy as part of the Circle of Excellence
Primer Group of Companies has been recognized by the Asia CEO Awards, the largest business award-giving body in the Philippines and Southeast Asia that recognizes organizations and outstanding leaders for excellence and sustainability, for its corporate social responsibility initiatives, including the water system project led by California footwear brand Freewaters and Primer Group’s corporate social responsibility arm.
Represented by Chief-of-Staff Noel Duldulao, Corporate Social Responsibility Program Manager Kristine Villaflor, Corporate Communications Manager Hazel Gonzales, and CSR Program Associate Patrick Damasco, Primer Group received a plaque of appreciation and was officially declared as part of the Circle of Excellence of the Asia CEO Awards 2018 during the Awarding Ceremony last October 16, 2018 at the Marriott Manila Hotel, Pasay City.

“All we wanted was to reach out and help our local communities through our programs. We never expected anything in return, and so we are truly grateful for this recognition,” Noel Duldulao exclaims.

With an entry highlighting the water system project for Barangay Bucana in El Nido, Palawan, Primer Group was chosen among hundreds of entries for the CSR Company of the Year alongside global corporate giants such as Unilever, Microsoft, Johnson & Johnson, Smart, HSBC, Development Bank of the Philippines, Telus International, Reed Elsevier Philippines, Anvil Business Club, Republic (A CRH-Aboitiz Company), Wipro, White & Case, and Fluor as nominees for the award.
Although the project goal was to provide safe and potable water for the said community, Primer Group surpassed this objective as the organization was able to create livelihood for the residents through giving them proper training to be able to maintain the project.
“Behind this recognition is a company with a heart for the society and that aspires to be the catalyst for providing a better life to those in need. We at Primer Group have and will continue to establish and implement innovative programs that will improve the lives of Filipinos,” Kristine Villaflor says.
The team extends its heartfelt gratitude and dedicates the award to all who have and continue to support the company’s CSR activities, particularly Primer employees' donors and volunteers, and the management. May all continue to join and support the team in the journey to reaching out and helping more communities in need.
