The Pioneer Professional Academy of Asia, Inc. (PPAA) was granted last February 19 an accreditation by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) as a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Provider.
CPD is an important component in the maintenance and enhancement of competence of all professionals in the country.
Under the CPD Act of 2016, all professionals are required to present CPD units before the renewal of their Professional Identification Cards.
The PRC accreditation certificate valid from November 22, 2017 to November 21, 2020 enables PPAA to conduct training programs and learning activities that are recognized by the CPD Council of Accountancy. This means that Certified Public Accountants of the Primer Group may enroll in the various training programs offered by PPAA which are then credited as earned units by the PRC CPD Council of Accountancy.
These consist of continuing development and learning outcomes in three categories, namely: (1) technical competence; (2) professional skills and (3) professional values, ethics and attitudes.
This is the third government accreditation received by PPAA. Aside from being a Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) accredited technical vocational and educational training institution, PPAA is also an accredited tourism training provider by the Department of Tourism.
